BACKGROUND

The reconceptualization of university outreach at the UFRO implies the design of a new model that assures the conditions of a horizontal and bidirectional approach and that will transcend the traditional vision of academic, artistic and cultural extension. At the moment, we are working with regulations that organize the university outreach from the university and it is necessary to develop outreach processes that are in line with these regulations.

In this context, if the self-assessment processes of the different programs and institution reveal the necessity to improve the university´s graduate outreach, it is imperative to design outreach processes.

OBJECTIVE

To design graduate outreach processes with the purpose of improving the quality of our training processes at the Universidad de La Frontera.

RESULTS

• Guidelines for graduate outreach processes.
• Process map for graduate outreach at the Universidad de La Frontera (including external guidelines, institutional guidelines and binding institutional processes; phases, processes and subprocesses with the identification of the respective units in charge; users (input and output), support).

• Flow-diagram of critical processes / subprocesses.
This way, the first graduate outreach process at the undergraduate level has been designed in its first iteration. Since 2019, the second iteration focuses on the design of graduate outreach process at the postgraduate level.
